The Commander’s Palace team approached us with the goal of establishing a cohesive brand identity foundation fit for a grand restaurant. After over a century in business and holding a clear understanding of who they are, the team sought after visuals that felt upscale yet celebratory, whimsical yet sophisticated. Pulling from from a rich history and a collection of physical assets, AKA created a robust foundation and various collateral that we felt fit the bill.

It was important that we honor the history of Commander’s Palace while simultaneously bringing a modernity to the brand.  Inspired by existing elements within the centuries-old building, we created a custom, elegant hand-lettered script for the main logotype, and complemented it with a contemporary serif for the secondary logo.

Print & Packaging

Commander’s Palace utilizes the Goldbelly platform to ship and deliver it’s famous cuisine to diners all over the country.  In upgrading the design of the branded print collateral, we were able to more closely reflect the quality of the Commander’s experience.  We created a variety of print and packaging materials- including specialty branded merchandise sold in the store’s gift shop and café, Le Petit Bleu.
